The plan check runs while you draw — “Plan check — placement and circulation rules”. Findings appear in a panel, grouped and dismissable, and clicking one selects what it is about so you can see the problem rather than hunt for it.
The mechanical rules are free. The expert set is Pro.
Free — the things that cannot be built
These are drafting errors, not opinions, so they are on every plan:
- Furniture overlap and Furniture in a wall.
- Openings cut into each other — two openings overlapping in one wall.
- A wall runs into an opening.
- Split levels overlap, and a split level runs outside the building.
With nothing else wrong you get: “No issues in the basic checks — overlaps and walls all clear.”
Pro — the things you find out by living in them

Working through findings
- Fix appears on findings the editor can resolve itself: “Fix it automatically — the change is checked against every rule before it’s applied”. Nothing is applied that would break something else.
- Explain writes a short architect’s note on why the finding matters. It is part of Pro and costs one AI credit — see Explain & Fix.
- Dismiss — I know, it’s fine takes a finding out of the list, and Restore this finding brings it back.
Scale figures are skipped by every rule: a figure is placed exactly where the rules complain, and it is a ruler rather than furniture.
What this doesn’t do
- It is not a building-code check. The numbers behind the rules are common residential practice, documented on the reference pages, not the code of any one country.
- It does not check structure, services or fire. No spans, no drainage, no escape distances.
- It cannot see intent. Dismiss what you meant.
