Every tool has a single-letter shortcut, editing uses the usual ⌘/Ctrl
combinations, and while you are drawing the number keys go straight into the
length readout. Nothing here needs a modifier you have to look up. On Windows
and Linux, read ⌘ as Ctrl throughout.
| Key | Tool |
|---|
| V | Select |
| E | Move (exact distance) |
| W | Wall |
| D | Door |
| N | Window |
| M | Dimension |
| T | Text label |
| A | Area (m²) |
| K | Draw — lines, arcs, rectangles, circles |
| O | Furniture |
| C | Structure (columns, chimney) |
| S | Stairs |
| Y | Terrace / deck / entrance steps |
| H | Roof |
| L | Ceiling (flat / open to roof) |
| P | Ground surface (paving, lawn) |
| J | Fence |
| B | Pool |
In the elevations view only Select and Dimension are available; in 3D,
only Select. A tool key that does not apply to the current view does nothing.

Digits typed while merely hovering a corner, endpoint, midpoint or intersection
start an offset from that point — see
snapping and the reference point.

What this doesn’t do
- Shortcuts are not customisable. The key map is fixed.
- Keys never fire while you are typing in a field. Anything with focus — a
panel input, a dialog — takes the keystroke first. The numeric readout while
drawing is the deliberate exception: it never takes focus, which is why you
can type numbers straight into it without clicking anything.
- There is no shortcut for switching floors, views, or export. Those are
buttons in the top bar.
